Kathryn Ann Roberti
Kathryn Ann Roberti, 71, of Newtown, previously of Ridgefield and St James, N.C., died August 22. She was born in Hackensack, N.J., daughter of Lucille and Henry Piper.
Kathryn and Louis Roberti lived in New Jersey before moving to Ridgefield, where they lived for 28 years, and then to St James for 14 years, before moving to Newtown in June 2012.
She is survived by her husband; son Scott, and his wife Linda, of New Fairfield and daughter Carolyn of Wilton; four grandchildren; and brothers and sisters, Henry, Michael, Robert, Eileen, George, and Patricia. She was also fortunate to have many nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. A brother, Stanley, predeceased Mrs Roberti.
She attended Holy Name Nursing School in New Jersey, earned her bachelorâs degree at Western Connecticut State University and her masterâs degree at New York Medical School. Her career included nursing and administration at Presbyterian Hospital, Holy Name Hospital, Danbury Hospital, and teaching at Greenwich and Norwalk Hospitals. She was active in community services in Southport, N.C., and was a trustee and chairman at Dosher Memorial Hospital.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in St Rose of Lima Church, August 25. Interment was in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y.
