You may drop in at the Senior Center weekdays between 9 am and 4 pm. A hot meal is served at noon, for which you must reserve three days in advance.
Newtown has daily door-to-door minibus service Monday through Friday. Buses also run all day from the Senior Center to Sand Hill Plaza. On Fridays, the bus alternates between rides to Danbury Fair Mall and Berkshire Plaza in Danbury (to Walmart Route 6). Cost is $1 each way for the Sand Hill Plaza trip. *Newtown Senior Center will be closed on Monday, September 3, in observance of Labor Day.
*Polynesian and Hawaiian dance lessons with Jasmin will be on Thursdays, September 6 and 13, from 3 to 4 pm. Learn the basic movements to rhythmic South Seas Island music through ancient and modern dances. Call center at 203-270-4310 to sign up.
*Country & Western line dancing has been canceled until further notice.

*The Golden Noters are looking for people to join the chorus for a weekly sing-along of the oldies with Ethel Kaufman every Monday at 1 pm.
*A bake sale will be on the third Monday of the month from 9 to 10 am. Bring donations of baked goods in before that time.

*Travel to the Catskill Mountains in upstate New York and visit the worldâs largest kaleidoscope, shop at unique country stores, lunch at the Sportmanâs Alamo Cantina, and visit the Stucki Embroidery Works on Thursday, September 20. Cost is $ 86; departure time is 8:30 am.
