Enjoyed Lively Debate And New Knowledge

Francis P. Miranti, 87, of Trumbull, beloved husband of the late Mary (Fedele) Miranti, died June 12. He was born in Bridgeport, January 3, 1924, to Carmella and Frank Miranti.

He particularly enjoyed helping and being with his four devoted children, including Frank Miranti, Jr, and his wife Gail, of Newtown; his ten grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Three siblings, Gloria Chirstiano, Mary Magliochetti, and Michael Miranti, survive Mr Miranti. Three brothers and his parents predeceased him.

Mr Miranti was a medic during World War II. He worked as a tax examiner for the State of Connecticut. He had a great thirst for knowledge and enjoyed a challenging exchange of ideas with others from politics to the environment.

The family gives special thanks to his dedicated caregiver Kelera, and the wonderful Vitas Hospice workers who aided in his comfort during the past months.

Per his request, family members only will attend a private service, Saturday, June 18, at the Cyril F. Mullins Trumbull Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
