Adventure

To the Editor:

We would like to thank all our friends in Newtown for your wonderful support of our son Jeff before, during, and after his appearance on the Jeopardy! TV show. It was a fantastic experience for him (and us), and the support he received made it that much better.

In particular, we’d like to thank My Place Restaurant for their flexibility and kindness in supporting our viewing party. Louise and her staff bent over backwards to help us and to make it a great time. On top of that, they were extremely generous to donate a percentage of the proceeds to help at-risk children in Connecticut.

We’re also extremely thankful for our friends from Trinity Church, our neighbors, Jeff’s teachers, and everyone else who came out to My Place (or watched from home) and cheered him on. We also appreciate the fine article that Shannon Hicks wrote for The Bee and the great reaction we got from everyone who read it.

This was an adventure that none of us will forget.
