Time To Pray

To the Editor:

We are living in extremely chaotic times. With massive unemployment, government scandals, food and fuel prices escalating uncontrollably, and a national election campaign that is polarizing the country, it seems that we as a nation are slipping into a chaotic quagmire. Where there is no optimistic outlook for agreement on any of the issues which are polarizing the citizens of this country, there is one action we can all do in unity: Pray for our country!

On May 3, at 7:30 pm, in the Alexandria Room, on the second floor of Edmond Town Hall, Newtown will observe its participation in the National Day of Prayer.

I would urge everyone to come to the meeting, to meet in unity to pray for our government, our people, to lift up our petitions to God for our needs, the needs of our country, and the future of our children and grandchildren.

Even if you can not be in attendance, I urge you to take a few minutes together as a family between 7 and 7:30 and join those in attendance in prayer for the restoration of our country, for the future of our country, and for the blessing of our children being able to say, “This is my country, the land of the free, and the home of the brave, one nation under God.”

Respectfully,

Kenneth Adams
