Coupe Off Road
Motorist Ryan Lasher, 20, of 4 Cedarhurst Trail was driving a 2003 Infiniti G-35 coupe northward near 271 South Main Street at about 4:39 pm on April 22, when he braked for traffic conditions, but went into a skid, according to police.
The Infiniti then exited the travel lane and struck a stormwater catch basin and a curbside residential mailbox before returning to the roadway, police said.
Lasher was not injured. Police said they gave him a written warning for failure to drive to the right.
Three MV Charges
Police report that at about 5:05 pm on April 21, they stopped motorist Mair Ajro, 48, of Danbury to investigate on South Main Street, near its intersection with Ethan Allen Road.
Police said they charged him with failure to obey a traffic control signal, driving under suspension, and driving without a license.
Ajro was released on a written promise to appear on May 4 in Danbury Superior Court.
Berkshire Road
While on patrol about 6:30 am on April 21, police stopped motorist Edgar Sanchez, 32, of New Haven to investigate near 107 Berkshire Road.
Police charged Sanchez with speeding and with driving with a suspended license. Police released Sanchez on a written promise to appear in Danbury Superior Court on May 8.
Sandy Hook Collision
Police report a two-vehicle accident near 51 Berkshire Road (Route 34) about 11:16 am on April 13.
Motorist Michael Corica, 23, of Stratford, who was driving a 2001 Toyota Matrix hatchback northward on Berkshire Road, struck the rear end of a northbound 2011 Subaru sedan driven by JR Robisheaux, 22, of Wingdale, N.Y., police report.
There were no injuries. Police said they issued Corica a written warning for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart.
Coupe Vs Truck
At about 5:41 pm on April 14, motorist Dale R. Harris, III, 21, of 213 Sugar Street, who was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo coupe on Sugar Street, near its intersection with Scudder Road, struck the rear end of a 2005 Kenworth T-300 heavy truck driven by Alfred E. Lemay, II, 42, of 167 Toddy Hill Road, police said.
Harris was transported to Danbury Hospital to be medically checked, police said. Harris received a written warning for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart, police said.
Old Hawleyville Road
Motorist Jaclyn Bellano, 18, of Brookfield, who was driving a 2005 Subaru Forester eastward on Old Hawleyville Road at about 11:40 am on April 13, lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a curve in the road, crossed the streetâs center line, and then drove across the driveway at 64 Old Hawleyville Road, police said.
The Subaru became airborne and struck a tree about four feet above the ground, after which the vehicle fell to the ground in front of the tree, police report. Bellano was not injured. Police said they issued her an infraction for traveling too fast for conditions and failure to drive to the right on a curve.
Dump Truck
At about 6:43 pm on April 19, Matthew Popp, 40, of Danbury, who was driving a Ford F-550 dump truck westward near 117 Church Hill Road, attempted to park the truck along the street, but struck a parked, unoccupied 2008 Saab 9-3 convertible in the process, police said.
Popp was not injured. Police said they verbally warned him for making a restricted turn.

Salon Break-In
Police received a report at 7:57 am on April 14 that there had been a burglary at Ricciâs Salon & Spa at 99 South Main Street overnight on April 13â14.
Police went to the business to investigate and found that someone had made a forced entry into the premises, after which some unspecified items were stolen.
Police are investigating the burglary/larceny and ask anyone with information on the incident to contact them at the police station at 203-426-5841.
Sandy Hook Crash
A two-vehicle accident occurred in Sandy Hook Center near 100 Church Hill Road at about 6:04 pm on April 11, according to police.
In that incident, a 1999 Jeep Wrangler SUV, which was driven by Charles Romano, 43, of Seymour, collided with a 2004 Mercedes-Benz C-class sedan driven by Anna Lewis, 29, of 4 Shepaug Road, police report.
There were no injuries. Police said they issued Romano a written warning for improper passing.
Vehicular Accident
At about 12:45 am on April 19, police said they responded to Concord Ridge Road in connection with a motor vehicle accident that had occurred earlier on Butterfield Road.
After investigating, police charged motorist Reaghen Malloy, 28, of Southbury with driving with a suspended vehicle registration, driving an unregistered vehicle, possession of less than one-half ounce of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police released Malloy on $100 bail for a May 3 court appearance.
Sturges Road
Motorist Carmen Leon, 33, of Danbury was driving a 1999 Nissan Frontier pickup truck southward on Sturges Road about 5:40 am on April 20, when the vehicle went off the road to the left and struck a tree stump at 4 Sturges Road, police said.
Leon was not injured. Police said they verbally warned Leon for failure to drive to the right.
I-84 Accident
Motorist Justin Traynor, 24, of Westfield, Mass, who was driving a 2007 Saturn auto eastward on Interstate 84, about 1,500 feet east of Exit 11 at about 11 am on April 20, lost control of the vehicle and struck some guardcabling, state police said.
Traynor was not injured. State police said they verbally warned Traynor for making an unsafe lane change.
Fallen Object
Motorist Elaine Schaarschmidt, 33, of Dumont, N.J., who was driving a 2007 Ford Escape SUV eastward on Interstate 84, west of Exit 10 at about 2 pm on April 13, was traveling behind an unknown eastbound pickup truck which was hauling a trailer containing cargo, state police said.
A piece of steel pipe cargo then fell off the trailer and punctured the grille of the Ford, state police said. There were no injuries.
Honda Vs Hyundai
State police report that motorist Sharon Pelkey, 43, of Northfield, who was driving a 2011 Hyundai Sonata on westbound Interstate 84 about 500 feet east of Exit 11 at about 7:30 am on April 13, stopped due to traffic conditions and was then struck from behind by motorist Laurie Noreika, 23, of New Fairfield, who was driving a 2005 Honda Civic.
There were no injuries. Enforcement information was not available.
Meadowbrook Road
Police said they stopped motorist Richard Williams, 54, of New Fairfield for driving too fast near 20 Meadowbrook Road at about 9:42 am on April 24.
After investigating, police said they charged Williams with traveling too fast and with driving with a suspended license.
Police released Williams on $100 bail for a May 9 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.
Evading
Responsibility
Police learned at about 5:14 pm on April 24, that a vehicular collision had occurred in the parking lot of The Shops at Newtown at 5 Queen Street in which an unknown driver struck a parked vehicle and then left the scene without reporting the collision.
An unspecified vehicle was parked in the lot near Caraluzziâs supermarket when it was struck by a silver-gray camper-style van, police said. The vanâs windows had shades/blinds on them. The van had a blue pinstripe running the length of the vehicle.

Tower Road
Police report that a one-vehicle accident occurred near 5 Tower Road near the Newtown-Brookfield border at about 12:27 pm on April 24.
Police said that motorist William Thornhill, 64, of Brookfield was driving a 1997 Mercedes-Benz S-240 sedan northward on Tower Road, when he crossed the southbound lane and then went off the southbound road shoulder, striking a utility pole.
Thornhill was transported to Danbury Hospital, police said. Police said they issued him a written warning for making a restricted turn.
South Main Crash
Motorist Andy Martinez, 39, of Bridgeport, who was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Astro van southward near 98 South Main Street at about 5:05 pm on April 24, stopped for traffic conditions and was struck from behind by a southbound 2011 Mercedes-Benz E-Class sedan driven by V.M. Shah, 62, of Trumbull, police said.
Martinez was transported to Danbury Hospital to be checked for neck pain, police said. Shah reported hand pain but refused hospital transport, police said.
Shah received an infraction for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart, police said.
Toro
Sometime between 10:30 pm on April 22, and 10:35 am on April 23, an unknown motorist struck a parked vehicle, a lamppost, and a tree in the rear parking lot at Toro, a restaurant at 28 Church Hill Road and then left the scene without reporting the incident.
Police are investigating and ask anyone with information on the mater to contact Officer John McCluskey at 203-426-5841.
Trolling Motor
At about 4:30 pm on April 25, an electric trolling motor for marine use and an automotive battery were found on Alberts Hill Road, near Valley Field Road North, near the shoreline of Lake Lillinonah. Police are holding the items for safekeeping and ask the owner to claim them at the police station at 3 Main Street.

Thefts From Vehicles
Police said they are investigating a series of thefts of valuables from vehicles parked on Queen Street and nearby roads.
Police ask anyone who saw suspicious activity in that area on the might of April 24 and extending until 6:30 am on April 25, to contact investigating Officer Steven Borges at 203-426-5841.
Police urge motorists to keep their vehicles locked to deter such thefts.
