WATERBURY â KC LaPierre, RJF, MEP, PhD, founder of the International Institute of Equine Podiatry in Ocala, Florida, will be at Post University on Friday, September 22 to demonstrate and explain the finer points of hoof care.
A professional farrier for more than two decades, a researcher and educator, KC is a proud member of the Guild of Professional Farriers and a traditional Journeyman Blacksmith. He conducts lectures and demonstrations all over the U.S. and abroad and is recognized by many as one of the foremost equine podiatrists in the world today. His innovative approach to teaching this art has met with rave reviews and many horse care providers have adopted his theories and the HPT method of hoof care.
KC will be at the Post University barn aisle in Bethany on Friday morning to demonstrate his techniques and conducting a dissection of a hoof so that all the structures and functions can be seen clearly and then will present his theories and ideas on Whole Horse Hoof Care on Friday evening, September 22 at 7:15 pm.
The lecture, sponsored by Post Universityâs Equine Resources Committee, will be on the âlowerâ campus in room 201 of the Drubner Center. The building is on Route 63, just south of exit 17 off I-84.
