Three MV Violations
Police report that at about 6:51 am on January 23, they stopped motorist Alcides Cabrera, 31, of Danbury on South Main Street, near Borough Lane, to investigate.
That investigation resulted in police charging Cabrera with misuse of marker plates, using an illegible marker plate, and failure to carry an automotive insurance identification card.
Cabrera was released on a written promise to appear in court on February 2, police said.
Botsford Accident
A two-vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of High Bridge Road and Botsford Hill Road in Botsford about 6:35 am on January 23.
Police said that motorist Paula Guglielmi, 61, of 20 Gelding Hill Road, who was driving a Mazda station wagon westward on High Bridge Road, stopped at that roadâs intersection with Botsford Hill Road, after which the Mazda was struck from behind by a Chevrolet sedan being driven westward on High Bridge Road by motorist John Kandrot, 22, of Monroe.
There were no injuries. Police said they issued Kandrot a written warning for following too closely.
Sandy Hook
Police said that at about 9:33 pm on January 24, they stopped motorist Alvin Adams, 52, of New Haven on Berkshire Road, near its intersection with Pole Bridge Road, to investigate.
Police report that they charged Adams with driving with a suspended license, driving with a suspended vehicle registration, driving without automotive insurance, and driving without an illuminated rear marker plate.
Police said they released Adams on $100 bail for a February 7 court appearance.
