Newtown Congregational Preschool Learns About Dinosaurs And More
Newtown Congregational Preschool students will spend the month of January, Dinosaur Month at the preschool, completing different activities involving dinosaurs.
On Monday, students poured vinegar into premade solutions placed in miniature models of volcanoes and watched as the mixture erupted, spewing colored liquid into a bed of fake grass littered with plastic dinosaurs.
According to the school, other activities planned to happen during the month include writing books about dinosaurs and using dinosaur footprints to measure distances.
At the end of the unit a dinosaur party will be held, and the budding paleontologists will receive certificates from Newtown Congregational Preschool for completing their work. According to the preschool, hot dogs will be served during the party for the carnivores, and a salad will be provided for the herbivores.
