Creative Classes For Children

Newtown Continuing Education will once again sponsor the Toy Workshop, two weeklong sessions of hands-on toy-making worships for elementary school-aged children.

The sessions, taught by Elaine Breitling, will be held from 9 am to noon on July 10 through 14 and July 17 through 21.

Students will make such toy projects as kaleidoscopes, marionette puppets, kites, checkerboards, pop-up puppets, paddle ball, and an educational science game called the Steady Hand Game.

The students also will make their own creative snacks. All supplies are included.

The course fees are $99 per session and are for children in grades 1 through 4. To sign up, call 426-1787.
