Local Students Qualify For Johns Hopkins Talent Search

Sandy Hook residents Matthew and Christopher Trigaux have recently qualified for the Johns Hopkins University National Talent Search. To qualify for this honor, students need to score no lower than the 97th percentile on the Educational Record Bureau Test used by independent schools throughout the world.

Matthew, a sixth grader, and Christopher, a third grader, attend Pear Tree Point School in Darien. The boys are children of Jill and David Trigaux of Sandy Hook. Mr Trigaux is the headmaster of the school.

“We are very proud of all our students, teachers, staff, and parents who have worked so well together to help children achieve their personal best,” Patricia Grinnell, assistant head of school, said. “We congratulate the 64 percent of our students in grades three, four, five, and six who have been recognized for the Johns Hopkins University Talent Search 2000.”

Pear Tree Point School is an independent school in Darien serving grades pre-K through grade six.
