Merryhill Gets Special Attention From Wilton Landscaper

Laurelrock Landscaping of Wilton worked on the gazebo and garden behind Merryhill Child Care Center on Wednesday, April 20, to give the area some much-needed attention.

The volunteer time was spent in honor of PLANET Day of Service. The Professional Landcare Network (PLANET), the national lawn and landscape association, holds the nationwide Day of Service near Earth Day, celebrated on April 22, each year. On PLANET Day of Service, members of the association perform community projects across the country.

Volunteers from Laurelrock Landscaping, including Burt DeMarche, started around 9 am on Wednesday and worked throughout the day, despite somewhat damp weather. By Thursday, Merryhill Child Care Center staff and students were outside in the area and using the newly adjusted space at the Queen Street child care center.
