Support And Generosity

To the Newtown Torpedoes Swimmers, Families, and Friends:

Thank you so much for your support and generosity over the past few months with the passing of our father, Glenn “Benny” Atkinson. We very much appreciate all of your donations to the Atkinson Children’s Scholarship fund, and couldn’t be more thankful for everything the swimming community has done for our family. The support from this town has been overwhelming and such a beautiful tribute to our Dad. He loved the Torpedoes and Newtown swimming very much and we know he is looking over us and the entire swimming community every day.

We are so lucky to have grown up in a town that is so supportive and loving and we know our Dad couldn’t be more proud to raise four swimmers in Newtown. Keep swimming fast! You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Thank you all for your love and generosity.
