To the Editor:
It is an honor to write this letter in support of Chris Lyddyâs reelection. In his first term, Chris has served the people of Newtown well, focusing on important issues like the economy, education, and the environment. Most importantly, Chris understands that serving the people of Newtown isnât about political parties or partisan politics. He knows that his service is about representing our best interests, carrying our voices to Hartford, advocating for us, and achieving results for all of us. He has reached across the aisle, worked with legislators and local officials from both political parties, and has made it clear that he cares deeply about the people of Newtown.
When I go to the polls on November 2, Iâll be voting for Chris Lyddy. Iâm a registered Republican, but Chris has proven that he represents all of us. He takes the time to listen to our concerns, and he works hard on our behalf. He cares about the people of Newtown, and he has the energy and experience we need in a state representative.
Chris Lyddy doesnât vote based on political party when heâs in Hartford. He votes based on the issues, and he votes to make a difference for the people of Newtown. On November 2, I wonât be voting based on political party either. Iâll be voting for the person, a person who has served us well and made us proud. Iâll be voting for Chris Lyddy, and hope you will join me in doing the same.
