To the Editor:

I am writing in support of George Ferguson, who I believe has the character and integrity to make an extraordinary state representative for the 106th District of Newtown.

Our state government, by all measures of accounting standards, is bankrupt, and the blame must be placed squarely on the shoulders of the overwhelming Democratic majority in Hartford.

George is committed to reducing the size of our state government and understands the devastating effect that our tax and spend policy is having, and will continue to have not only on our children and grandchildren, but also on our state’s economy in general.

It’s time we place someone in Hartford that will say No to the tax and spend philosophy, which has become the trademark of the Democratic Party that now rules our state legislature in Hartford.

On November 2, the choice is clear, cast your vote for George Ferguson, Republican, for Newtown’s 106th District state representative.
