Margaret Riley, daughter of Mary and George Wilson, was named to the Dean’s List at Ithaca College’s School of Humanities and Sciences for the spring 2008 term. Margaret was a freshman during the spring 2008 term, and is a sociology major at the school. To qualify for this academic honor, freshman in the humanities and sciences school must attain a minimum grade point average of 3.7 and complete a minimum of 15 credit hours, of which at least 12 are graded.

Paulina Grzybowska, daughter of Malgorzata and Bogdan Grzybowska of Sandy Hook, was chosen as to be Miss Polonius by the Pulaski Day Parade Committee. She is currently a student at Newtown High School, and she represented the Polish-American community of Stamford and the vicinity in the parade, which was held Sunday, October 5. The Pulaski Day Parade is held annually the first Sunday of October in recognition of Brigadier General Casmir Pulaski, considered the father of the American cavalry, who gave his life for American freedom in the Revolutionary War.
