Newtowner Jay Higham Ernst & Young’s Regional Entrepreneur Of The Year

Newtown resident Jay Higham, president and CEO of IntegraMed America, Inc (NASDAQ: INMD), the nation’s leading operator of fertility centers and vein care clinics, has received the Ernst & Young Metro New York Entrepreneur of the Year 2008 Award in the Healthcare category.

The award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who are building and leading dynamic, growing businesses. An independent panel of judges composed of area business, academic. and civic leaders selected Mr Higham, whose company is headquartered in Purchase, N.Y., and the award was presented at a gala event at the Marriott Marquis New York on Thursday, June 26.

The Metropolitan New York Area award winners are eligible for consideration for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2008 national program. Award winners in several national categories, as well as the overall national Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year award winner, will be announced at the annual awards gala in Palm Springs, Calif., on November 16.

The overall national Entrepreneur Of The Year award recipient is then considered for the worldwide event held in Monte Carlo.
