Diamond Electrical Supply vs McCann Brothers: Diamond Electrical Supplied (aka Blue Diamonds) played a brilliant game out on the field today. They started out with their stellar defense by first baseman, Sara Olam, and awesome throws from the pitcherâs spot by Katie Daoust. Aidan Herbstman also played great defense with an amazing stop and throw over to first. Eleanor Glassman, Alexa Glynn and Gwenyth Shaw all had line drives out into the field. Tori Lewis had an amazing hit in the air all the way into the outfield. Diamond Electrical Supply played a superb game Saturday. The McCann Brothersâ Pink Panthers played a strong game Saturday morning. Sofia Verdi, Sarah Kovach, Maren Leyva, Caroline Gardner and Addie Sullivan paced the offense with three hits each, while the defense was led by Grace Lynch, Rachel Casagrande, Grace Popkin, Noelle Marrazzo and Jocelyn Bazuro.
Carminuccioâs vs Craig Doersch Painting: Carminuccioâs defense was solid. They had all the bases covered with Ashley Hubner and Abigail McManus both making terrific plays for the out at first and second base respectively. Additionally, Caitlin Milks had strong throws from third. Erin Marshall and Lauren Young led the offense. Craig Doersch Painting started at bat, with Mikayla Maurer hitting the first pitch to inside left field and Ashlynn MacLeod following with a super hit to left center. Casey Quinn hit a grounder to left center followed by a hit by Lilly Mindenhall to bring Mikayla home. Cassie Fossum then hit a fantastic fly ball to the outfield to bring Ashlynn home. In the outfield, Sofia Doersch stopped a hard hit by Carmenuccioâs Pizza at third base and made a great throw to first. In the second inning, Casey Quinn made it safely to first after an excellent hit to right center and Isabelle Caron slammed a hit to the outfield to bring the team home. On the field, Ashlynn MacLeod caught a fly ball and hustled it to first, while Lilly Mindenhall played an excellent left shortstop

Taunton Press 11, New Fairfield 2: The Taunton Press Pink Panthers continued their winning streak defeating the New Fairfield team 11 to 2 on Saturday. The team began with great infield play by Julia Minchak and Brooke Kinsey followed by a sharp at bat scoring eight runs in the first inning. Allison Hechler was strong for Taunton Press defense at pitcher assisting with several outs at home plate and hitting a double in the second inning. Madelyn Twitchell did a great job protecting the plate as catcher in the first inning. Nicole Fisher, Sammy Vertucci, Olivia Bonacci and Tessa Bigwarfe played well in the field for the Taunton Press Pink Panthers. Carol Ann Scinto, Jillian Clure, Kendra Gouveia and Brenna Navin all had base hits contributing to the win.
Nuzzo Electric 7, McCann Brothers 4: Nuzzo Electricâs Carly Nuzzo and Emily Longo each had three hits and scored three runs. Ava Berry and Lauren Haynes each had three hits and each drove in three runs. Gina Lewis pitched well and Lily Braun and Emma Archiere played well in the field. Olivia Nikolis and Lenie Urbina each singled and drove in one run. For McCann Brothers, the defense came out strong against Nuzzo Electric in the first inning, recording two force outs at third from pitcher Shannon Kelleher to third baseman Emma Magazu. At the plate, Emily Hammond, Margaret Hurley, Emily Litke, Lola Villeneuve and Katelyn Zaniewski (2) all got base hits and were able to move runners into scoring position.
Taunton Press 2, McCann Brothers 0: McCann Brothers played great defense against Taunton Press with strong performances from Lara McDougall, Ella Schmitt and Sarah Walsh-Herde. Margaret Hurley, Vaughn Keeney and Lola Villeneuve had some good at bats and moved runners across the base paths throughout the game.
New England Bounce About 8, Taunton Press 1: New England Bounce About (NEBA) moved to 4-1 on the pitching of Ashley Silvaggi who completed two innings while getting her first career strikeout. The strong hitting performances by Sarah Savinelli who provided a double, Molly McCleary and Caitlin Briggs powered the NEBA team to eight runs. The Taunton Press Pink Panthers had their two-game winning streak snapped by a strong showing from NEBA. Madelyn Twitchell and Morgan Melillo pitched a solid game and were backed up with energetic fielding performances by Sammy Vertucci, Jillian Clure, Carolanne Scinto and Alison Hechler. Nicole Fisher went two for two at bat and Tessa Bigwarfe and Julia Minchak contributed with base hits.

Newtown Hardware 0, Brookfield 3: After the first inning, the teams played to a scoreless tie. Awesome pitching by Beth Savinelli and Heather Stroili kept Brookfield at bay. Tess Trahan and Charlize Marrazzo replaced injured players and played great. Mia Villeneuve, Beth Savinelli and TessTrahan led the offensive attack. Tori Stevens made a nice catching play, while Julie Hess, Shaunna Tucker and Virginia Hepp had key putouts to extinguish Brookfield rallies.
Associated Refuse 3, Stone River Grille 1: Associated Refuse had a great game. Sienna Cummings was impressive on the mound. Brianna Giglio and Veronica Vodola did very well for their first time pitching as well. Great defensive plays were made by Hanna Marcum, Emily Krasnickas and Taylor McPadden, while McPadden, Giglio and Alea Willis each scored a run. Stone River Grille suffered a loss in the first of two games this past Saturday with a loss to Associated. The outfield, however, did a great job keeping them in the game. They just could not put together consecutive hits to score more runs.
Stone River Grille 10, Brookfield 4: Stone River Grille pulled it together for a win in their second game on Saturday. Kali Ryder, Angela Carrierro, Izzy Satmary and Natalie Horn worked as a team for the win. Shanna Adam and Gracie Eurell once again brought it home with a combined total of 12 strike outs! Stone River Grilleâs offense was lead by Ryssa Swanson, who had two doubles that contributed to the win.
McCann Brothers 8, Shepaug 4: McCann Brothersâ bats came alive against Shepaug, scoring eight runs. Shannon Jackman led McCann Brothers with three hits and three runs scored. Jaclyn Moccio also had three hits. Grace McEneaney and Sophie Muzzio each added two hits. Samantha Henriques was outstanding in her pitching debut. Hannah Cicciari was solid at shortstop making a beautiful stop of a hard hit ball late in the game to preserve the win.

McCann Brothers 11, Southbury 12: McCann Brothersâ Pink Pigeons were up 11-9 when they fell to Southbury at the bottom of the final inning. Sophie Ackert pitched well and Sydney Marino made some good plays at catcher. Nicky Lillis had a hot bat.
McCann Brothers 10, Blueline Designs 8: For McCann Brothersâ Pink Pigeons, Allie Eurell pitched well and had a home run. Sophie Ackert pitched fantastic and so did Lindsey Sherwood. Cassandra Berros had a couple of strong hits and RBIs. Blueline Designs fell short in a close match-up with McCann Brothers on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Sophie Wolfman made a strong defensive ground ball pickup making a quick play to first, caught by Julia Anderson. Leah Navin made her first hit of the season with a single and steal to second. Larkin Huffman rounded out the offense with two RBIs. Alexa Horkachuk once again demonstrated solid pitching. All the girls played a great game.
WellBaskets.com 4, Brookfield 16: Wellbaskets.com suffered their first loss in a tough battle against Brookfield. The team put up an admirable fight with Vanessa Tuckerâs strong defense in left and Kayla McClayâs determination behind the plate. Rachel OâGrady led the offense with two singles.

John M Glover Agency 21, Danbury 16: On May 18, the John M. Glover Agency Wild Thing faced Danbury at home and won 21-16. Tina Demaio was 3 for 3 with a walk, Joanna Vodola was 2 for 3 with a walk, and Lauren Villamana was 2 for 2 with a walk. Lexi Tucker and Skylar Kneski held the pitching mound to bring the team to 6-1.
John M Glover Agency 16, New Fairfield 1: On May 19, the Wild Thing faced New Fairfield at home and won 16-1. Kelsey Nicholson, Sam Cody and Joanna Vodola all had three RBIs on offense. Jackie Sgobbo, Sam Cody and Annie Hoffman all crossed the plate twice, while Skylar Kneski and Lexi Tucker controlled the pitching mound on defense to take the team to 7-1.
John M Glover Agency 8, New Milford 1: On May 20, the Wild Thing played New Milford away. Annie Hoffman pitched two strong innings and rocked a triple and a double to turn the game in favor of Newtown. Skylar Kneski added to the pitching with two great innings. Kelsey Nicholsonâs bat was on fire and hit 4 for 5 with two RBIs, while Jillian Gibney went 2 for 3 with a walk to advance the team to 8-1.

Newtown Hawks 10, Brookfield 0: The Hawks had a no hitter going until the bottom of the fifth inning. The Hawks only allowed for one base runner the entire game due to outstanding pitching from Jaclyn Moccio, Gracie Eurell, Beth Savinelli and Shanna Adam. Newtown Hawks 13, Southbury Heat 12: The Hawks prevailed in a tense game against the Southbury Heat. Offense was led by Cassidy Datin with three singles, Cassidy Keller with a single and a crucial sacrifice bunt, and Allie Eurell with a single. Olivia Mubarek made a great game-saving catch in right field, and Ali Nuzzo pitched the final inning for the win. Mubarek also stole home to score the winning run for Newtown.
