Marcus Tracy Helps Wake Forest Advance To Quarterfinals

Former Newtown High School soccer standout Marcus Tracy helped the top-seeded Wake Forest men’s soccer team to a 7-0 win over No. 16 Dartmouth in the third round of the NCAA Tournament on Sunday.

Tracy assisted on two goals to help Wake Forest break a school record for team goals (76) in a single season.

Wake Forest had beaten William & Mary 1-0 in overtime in the second round.

The Deacons advance to the quarterfinal round of the NCAA Tournament for the third straight year and will face eighth-seed South Florida on Saturday, December 6, at 4:30 pm.

The game may be seen live on the web on WakeForest Sports.com.
