Mary A. ‘Boo’ Beers

Practiced Nursing In Area Facilities

Mary A. “Boo” Beers, 75, of Danbury, formerly of Bethel, died October 19 at Danbury Hospital. She was the wife of the late Raymond M. Beers. Mrs Beers was born in Bridgeport March 7, 1931, a daughter of Howard and Catherine (Dorgan) Britto. She was raised in Redding, and had been a resident of Bethel for more than 50 years.

Mrs Beers is survived by one brother, Edward Britto of Newtown; and one sister, Lois Brock of Granite Quarry, N.C., one son, Mark Beers of Bethel; four daughters, Lisa A. Nargi of Danbury, Lorrie Pregler of New Milford, Lucy Taylor of Astor, Fla., and Linda Beers of Wellington, Fla.; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was employed as a nurse at several area nursing facilities; and was also employed with the Danbury Nurses Registry as a private duty nurse. She was a parishioner of St Mary Church, Bethel.

Following cremation, the family was scheduled to receive friends at a memorial gathering held on Thursday, October 26, at the Bethel Funeral Home, 215 Greenwood Ave, Bethel, from 3 to 5 pm.
