Creating Theater And Performance Art

LITCHFIELD — A workshop titled “From Dreams to Art: Creating Theater and Performance Art” will be held at Wisdom House Retreat and Conference Center on Saturday, October 4, from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm.

Participants will join a collaborative experience of acting and saying Yes to the creative process. They will use guided imagery, journaling, and basic theatrical structure to create stories of their experiences. All will be part of a staged reading at the end of the workshop.

Leading the workshop will be Cady McClain, actress, singer, songwriter, painter, and poet. She is a two-time Emmy Award winner for her acting on All My Children and As the World Turns. She recently appeared in two independent films and released her debut CD, BlueGlitterFish.

Cost is $35 per person, including lunch. Participants are asked to bring a journal or writing pad for their use.
