 Newtown Fund Holiday Basket Program Delivery Day, 9 am, Sandy Hook School, Riverside Road, anyone donating food and gifts is asked to have them at the school no later than 9 am, volunteer drivers and packers also needed (call ahead or just show up); 270-9190.

Live Nativity, 5:15 and 6 pm, St Rose of Lima Church, 38 Church Hill Road, short sessions of prayer and praise will be followed by 30-minute outdoor reenactments of the birth of Jesus with church members and animals, then singing of Christmas carols and servings of hot chocolate in parish hall will follow, all welcome.

3rd Annual Holiday Concert featuring The Concert Society of Putnam & Northern Westchester, 7:30 pm, Trinity Episcopal Church, 30 Main Street, tickets $30 and must be purchased in advance (no ticket sales at door), Richard Serbagi will again direct performance, this yearâs guest soloists are the soprano Maria Ferrante, the violinist Fernando Medina Caceres, and the violist Midhat Serbagi, program will works of J.S. Bach, Schubert, Martini, Mozart, Schubert, also variations based on a Bach chorale composed by John Mastroianni, performance will be followed by gala reception, proceeds benefit Newtown Scholarship Association; 426-2500.
