Global Financial Consulting 16, Brookfield 6 – Colleen Cunningham banged out three hits, drove in five runs, and fired three shutout innings to lead GFC to the win. Liz Anderson, Janis Hubina, Emily Bernson, Meriah Tani and Natalie Dunn each added RBI.

JP Maguire 21, Taunton Press 5 – JP Maguire staged a 19-hit attack as Megan Murphy went 3-for-3, including a three-run homerun. Victoria Picerno, Stephanie Arndt, Julia Theaman and Taylor Johnson chipped in with two hits apiece. For Taunton, Hannah Koch smacked a long home run down the left field line. Abby Keough aggressively ran the bases and Kate Siroky recorded three innings of good pitching.

Global Financial Consulting 13, Brookfield 12 – Trailing by 10 runs, GFC rallied back to win behind three innings of shutout pitching by Colleen Cunningham. Cunningham also added the game-winning hit in the bottom of the sixth inning – her third hit of the game. Suzanne Wright collected two hits as Aria Brownell, Cynthia Reynolds and Shannon Barra all had hits.

JP Maguire 13, Newtown Insurance 12 – On a passed ball, Morgan D’Avola took a throw from Caitlin Cocivi to tag out a runner attempting to steal home, thus ending the game and sealing the victory for JP Maguire. Sarah Smith singled and doubled while Megan Murphy and Stephanie Arndt reached base three times each. For Newtown Insurance, Rebecca Reed, Marissa Chappell and Kaitlyn Kakedeles sparked the offense while Morghan Moroney and Rachel Camejo played well in the field.

Brookfield 13, JP Maguire 12 – JP Maguire battled back from as many as seven runs behind to tie the game before allowing a run in the bottom of the fifth for its first loss of the season. Victoria Picerno went 3-for-3, including a double, while Megan Murphy and Caitlin Teftt each went 3-for-4 to lead the offense. Taylor Demirjian and Sarah Smith each pitched a solid inning while Murphy and Morgan D’Avola played well on defense.

Dr Curtis Beck 23, The Toy Tree 6 – The Toy Tree turned a triple play in a wild game at the Newtown Middle School. Erin Begg of Beck hit a base-loaded fly ball to right field, which was caught by Mallory Ames and quickly thrown to second base where Anna Grillo stepped on second and tagged the runner from first, who was running on the play. The next inning, Erin Begg had the same scenario, but hit the ball into the soccer fields for a grand slam home run. Megan Duero hit a solo home run to center field and scored three times on the day.  Stephanie Collucci and M. Macchiarulo played well defensively for The Toy Tree while Katie Fossum and Kelly Ann McCarthy made great defensive catches for Dr. Beck.

Keno Graphics 12, Newtown Junior Women 7 – Ali Kennedy 3-for-3 with a home run and a triple to lead Keno to the win. Maggie Kennedy went 3-for-4 with a triple and a double. Emily Dion had three hits. For the Junior Women, Amanda Rowan homered as Kelly Brassard and Casey French played well in the field.

Hull Landscaping 19, The Toy Tree 3 – Caitlin Gibney reached base four times and scored four runs to lead Hull to the win. Shannon O’Gorman and Tara Dawley scored three runs each. The Toy Tree was led by Mallory Ames and Dianna Carozza, who scored three runs each.

Comfortable Living Hardwood Floors 5, Newtown Phonebook 4 – Caitlin Jones, Maggie Wruck and Maggie Gorman sparked the offense for Comfortable Living as Liz Townsend and Kaylie Daniels pitched well. For Phonebook, Danielle Shine pitched two scoreless innings and went 2-for-2 with a homer. Oliva Sergiovanni, Sophia Matsis and Meghan Powers powered the offense.

The Toy Tree 5, Comfortable Living Hardwood Floors 1 – Anna Jannott singled twice and drove in a run and Mattie Kelly singled in a run to lead The Toy Tree. Emily Clark played well in the field. For Comfortable Living, Lilia Hutchison and Kaylie Daniels had two hits apiece as Ashlee Honiker and Caitlin Jones played well in the field.

Comfortable Living Hardwood Floors 11, Ferris Mulch 3 – Maggie Wruck, Ashlee Honiker and Hannah Booth each went 3-for-3 to spark Comfortable Living to the win. Liz Townsend and Shaina Errico drove in two runs apiece. For Ferris, Brooke Hadgraft collected two hits and played well in the field as Rose Paggett pitched well with two strikeouts.

Comfortable Living Hardwood Floors 11, Brookfield 10 – Carolyn Delrossi drove in two runs while Shaina Errico, Liz Townsend and Kaylie Daniels pitched well.

Newtown Phonebook 9, Comfortable Living Hardwood Floors 6 – Sarah Clements and Danielle Shine pitched well to lead Phonebook to the win. Olivia Sergiovanni, Julia Bell and Abby Callery sparked the offense. For Comfortable Living, Emily Woznick drilled a three-run double while Aimee Alexander added a two-run single. Carolyn Delrossi and Hannah Booth sparkled in the field.

Carminuccio’s 5, Cold Stone Creamery 0 – Molly Begg and Katie Cappelli had nice hits for Carminuccio’s while Sarah Bender and Annika Alexander played well in the field. For Cold Stone, Brianna McDonald, Camryn Gaudett and Lauren Villamana hit well and Grace Frost performed well on the mound.
