Occupation: I’m the kennel keeper at Newtown Dog Pound. It’s a great job. I do the feeding and cleaning and handle the adoptions. I go on calls, too, to pick up animals.

Family: My mom and dad are Bill and Jan. My dad drives Bus 19 in Newtown. I have two brothers, Paul and David. They all live here in Newtown.

Pets: I have one pit bull, Jody. She came from the Newtown Pound and is 8 years old. She loves people. She is not very good around other animals, but she is wonderful with people.

How long have you lived in Newtown? I have lived here for 25 years, my whole life. I graduated from Newtown High School in 2001 and graduated from WestConn with a degree in anthropology in 2005. I’m living back in Newtown now.

What do you like to do in your free time? I play with my dog and I hang out with my brothers and my boyfriend, Gary, mostly. We like just talking and being together.

Do you have a favorite movie? Probably Dick Tracy with Warren Beatty. It came out around 1990 and it looks like a comic book the way they did the colors. But it’s not animated.

Do you have a favorite travel destination? Disney World. I’ve gone three or four times. I like it because everything is so clean and everyone is so nice. I love the rides.

What is the best thing about Newtown? Everyone knows everyone here, and I like that.

Do you have a hero? Jesus. All things are possible through Him. I’m a born-again Christian, so I really don’t idolize anyone.

Do you have a personal philosophy? Pray about everything, because worrying gets you nowhere.

Do you have a guilty pleasure? It would have to be Red Bull and energy drinks. I’m caffeine obsessed. And lollipops, especially Blow-Pops.
