Ornament Sale A Success

To the Editor:

On behalf of the Newtown Woman’s Club, GFWC, we wish to thank everyone who supported our fundraiser by purchasing pewter Newtown Christmas 2000 ornaments. Also deserving of our gratitude are the establishments which sold the ornaments: the C.H. Booth Library, Joy’s Hallmark, Lexington Gardens, The Newtown Bee, and the Town Clerk’s Office. A very special “thank you” goes to Don Bates and the Drug Center Pharmacy where ornaments sold valued more than $4,500.

Since the first three orders have sold out, we are obtaining additional ornaments which will be available at the Booth Library, as are those for previous years, or by contacting Mary Antey at 426-9787. The area charitable organizations to receive donations from the proceeds of this and other fundraisers will be announced in April.
