Lost And Found Film Series To Open With ‘A Bronx Tale’

RIDGEFIELD — Last month, The Ridgefield Playhouse for Movies and The Performing Arts introduced the new Ridgefield Playhouse Film Society with a preview screening of Chazz Palminteri’s Noel, due out in theaters this month. An enthusiastic standing room only audience filled the theater for the screening and later participated in the films Q&A session with Mr Palminteri.

On Friday, November 19, the Film Society will inaugurate the Lost and Found Film Series with another Palminteri gem, A Bronx Tale. Directed by Robert DiNiro and starring Mr Palminteri and Lillo Brancato, A Bronx Tale is about a devoted father who battles the local crime boss for the life of his son, and is somewhat autobiographical for Mr Palminteri who also wrote the screenplay.

Mr Palminteri and Mr Brancato will be on hand to discuss this film, along with hosts Morton Dean and Ira Joe Fisher.

Tickets to Lost and Found Film Series screenings are $15. The evening will begin at 7:30.

Each month The Lost and Found Film Series will honor a film that has been lost to audiences due to inadequate promotional budgets or lack of Hollywood hype. At each month’s film screening a visiting director, critic or actor will be on hand for a Q&A session.

The series will continue on December 3 with A Walk on the Moon with actor/director Tony Goldwyn.
