Herbert Eide, 91, of Trumbull, a retired plant manager for Consolidated Diesel of Greenwich, died April 29 at his residence. Born in Bronx, N.Y., on April 25, 1916, he was a son of Harold and Krestnse Nesheim Eide.

Survivors include three children, Steven Eide and his wife, Madeleine, of Newtown, Diane Corchard Perachio and her husband, Rick, of Trumbull, and Harold Eide and his wife, Donna, of Brookfield; ten grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Adeline Castellanete Eide; and his daughter, Barbara Ann DeAngelo.

Mr Eide loved woodworking, and most enjoyed helping family and friends with handyman projects.

Funeral services took place Thursday, May 3, from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and in Nichols United Methodist Church, Trumbull. Interment followed in Long Hill Burial Grounds, Trumbull.
