Have A Ball With The Lightning!

Members of the Newtown 10-and-under girls’ travel soccer team, the Lightning, are selling mini soccer balls with Team Treasure Life to raise money for Newtown’s Relay For Life, the American Cancer Society effort. Soccer balls are blue and gold and read, “Kick the habit. Get smart, don’t start. Newtown Relay For Life.” The balls are priced at $10 and can be purchased from Lightning players on the local fields on June 2 and 3 as well as at the annual Newtown Kick-Off Soccer Tournament on Memorial Day weekend and on Relay Night, June 9. The balls can also be found at Magic Garden on Queen Street.
