Donna E. Kayser, 45, of New Fairfield died at Danbury Hospital on April 26 after a long illness.
Mrs Kayser was born September 20, 1961, in Brooklyn, N.Y., the daughter of William G. and Therese (McQuillen) Mensching.
Mrs Kayser is survived by her husband, Richard E. of New Fairfield; her siblings and their spouses, Jane Cavanaugh and her husband, Michael, of Newtown, Margaret Smith and her husband, Kenneth, of Leonardo, N.J., William M. Mensching and his wife, Holly, of New Canaan, Peter E. Mensching and his wife, Darla, of Las Vegas, Nev.; along with nieces and nephews.
She was an accomplished makeup artist for ABC television, and was the personal makeup artist for Joan Lunden on Good Morning America, Live with Regis and Kathy Lee, and for Tipper Gore during the presidential inauguration of Bill Clinton. Mrs Kayser was recognized on the Oprah Winfrey Show as one of the top ten makeup artists on the East Coast. In addition to television, she also did makeup and styling for fashion magazines, including Cosmopolitan, McCallâs, and Redbook.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held April 30 at St Edward the Confessor Church in New Fairfield. Interment followed at Mountainview Cemetery in New Fairfield.
