Mr and Mrs Robert J. Stowell

Tarah Davis and Robert J. Stowell were married on July 8 at Alta Peruvian Lodge in Alta, Utah. The Reverend George Garft officiated the ceremony. The reception was also held at Alta Peruvian Lodge.

The groom is the son of Bob and Judy Stowell of Newtown.

His best man was Rob Clancy of Park City, Utah. His ushers were Geoffrey Stowell, his brother, of Fairfield; Tyler Stowell, also a brother, of Newtown; and Brew Gibbs, the bride’s brother-in-law.

The bride was given in marriage by her mother, Patty Davis, of Salt Lake City, Utah. Rain Gibbs, sister of the bride, also of Salt Lake City, was the matron of honor. Tarah’s attendants were Suzanne Borelli, Park City; Alicia Elston, Joanna Brooks, Trisha Veenema, and Melissa Coulam, all of the Park City area. Zoë Grace Clancy was the flower girl for the couple.

Mr Stowell is a 1995 graduate of Newtown High School. He then attended and graduated from Roanoke College, in Salem, Va., where he earned a bachelor’s degree in international relations. He is employed as a concierge for Bald Eagle Club in Park City.

Mrs Stowell graduated from Cottonwood High School, and then began attending the University of Utah at Salt Lake City. She is pursuing her master’s degree in social work, and is employed by Valley Mental Health in Park City.

Following a honeymoon trip to St John in the Virgin Islands, the couple is making their home in Park City.
