‘Visions Of Tranquility’

A collection of paintings by Patty Meglio will be the next exhibition at C.H. Booth Library. Ms Meglio, who lives in Northford, will present “Visions of Tranquility” from during the month of October. An opening reception is planned for Sunday, October 8, from 2 to 4 pm.

The exhibition will be presented in the Olga Knoepke Memorial Meeting Room at the library, 25 Main Street.

“My art transforms an idea that originates in my imagination into a statement, whether bold or quiet, emotional or stoic. Images are awakened by thoughtful composition and careful placement of light and color,” says the artist.

“When I design a painting, I strive for individuality and personal development,” she continued. “I often tend toward the provocative when I select my subjects.”

Ms Meglio is a member of Connecticut Plein Air Society, Lyme Art Association and Clinton Art Association.

Among her recent shows are presentations are presentations at Jerram Winery, New Hartford; Heritage Trail Winery, Lisbon; Clinton Art Association’s juried competition; Gibson House B&B, Haverhill, N.H.; Plain Jane’s, Bethel; and Friends & Co Restaurant, in Madison.
