Police To Heighten DUI, Speed, And Child Safety Seat Enforcement
Police plan to heighten their enforcement of highway safety laws in a campaign running from November 15 to 28, known as âClick-It or Ticket,â according to Sergeant Douglas Wisentaner.
Sgt Wisentaner reminds the motoring public there are three basic rules of road safety â always use your seatbelts; obey posted speed limits; never drink alcohol and drive.
During the enforcement project, state and local police will have extra personnel patrolling to strictly enforce laws on drunken driving, speed, and child safety seats, according to the sergeant.
âWe are anticipating that increased awareness and enforcement will assist us in having a fatality-free holiday season,â he said in a statement.
Courteous driving and ensuring that the driver is well-rested foster highway safety, he said.
