Casey Frobey (Fairfield University women’s soccer) – Scored her first collegiate goal for the women’s soccer team in a 2-1 season-opening loss to Maine … scored her second goal (and the team’s second goal) in a 1-1, double-overtime draw with St. John’s as the Lady Stags improved to 0-2-2.

Alex Konneker (Manhattan College women’s soccer) – The freshman midfielder was named Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week for the week (September 5) after scoring two goals to lead the women’s soccer team to a 4-0 win over Albany and help the Lady Jaspers improve to 3-0-0 … Konneker started two of the first three games for Manhattan.

Marcus Tracy (Wake Forest men’s soccer) – The sophomore forward scored a goal off the bench on August 15 to lead the Demon Deacons to a 3-0 exhibition win over UNC Wilmington … got the start and notched an assist in a 1-0 exhibition win over Furman on August 19 … got the start and notched an assist in the Demon Deacon’s 2-0 win over Penn State in the UNC Nike Classic … got the start and had two shots on goal in a 3-2 double-overtime win over Ohio State in the UNC Nike Classic.

Josh Rouse (Michigan State football) – The freshman linebacker was listed third on the depth chart for the September 9 battle with Eastern Michigan and played extensively on special teams as the Spartans whipped the Eagles, 52-20.

Tara Gaston (Gettsyburg College women’s soccer) – The freshman midfielder has appeared in one game for the women’s soccer team as the Lady Bullets defeated Mary Washington and Scranton to open the season 2-0-0.

Chris Hoagland (Castleton State men’s soccer) – Scored his first collegiate goal in a 2-1 season-opening loss to St. Michael’s on September 6 … notched his first collegiate assist in Castleton’s 4-2 season-opening win over Green Mountain … started in a 1-0 loss to Norwich and registered two of the team’s seven shots.

Alex Meisel (Bucknell University men’s soccer) – The freshman midfielder has yet to see action for the men’s soccer team.

Kim Allen (Castleton State women’s soccer) – The junior goaltender registered 19 saves in a 1-1 draw with Norwich and 14 more in a 4-2 loss to Plattsburgh State as the Lady Spartans opened the season 0-1-1.

Chelsea Morin (Ursinus College women’s soccer) – The junior forward scored a goal and assisted on another as the Lady Bears defeated Delaware Valley, 3-1, to improve to 1-1-0 on the year.

Allison Frobey (Plymouth State women’s soccer) – A senior co-captain for the Lady Panthers, who opened the 2006 season with a 3-0 win over Norwich.

Dan Cascone (Wisconsin football) – According to the Wisconsin participation report, the redshirt freshman lineman did not appear in the Badgers 35-14 season-opening win over Bowling Green.

Brennan Coakley (Penn State football) – According to the Penn State participation report, the redshirt freshman did not appear in the Nittany Lion’s 34-16 season-opening win over Akron.

Stephanie Logan (Quinnipiac volleyball) – It has not been a great start for the Lady Bobcats (0-7), but the junior middle hitter – who played in four matches and 13 games – has registered 17 kills, two service aces, 12 digs and four blocks on the year.

Bobby Pattison (Ithaca College football) – A freshman linebacker for the Bombers.

Ryan Tracy (University of Pennsylvania men’s soccer) – The senior defender got the start in the Quaker’s 2-0 season-opening loss to Lehigh on September 4.

Mike Troy (Fairfield University men’s soccer) – Appeared in all four games and unleashed four shots, though he didn’t score, as the men’s soccer team improved to 2-2-0 to start the season.

Rachel Bolmer (Western Connecticut field hockey) – The senior forward and co-captain of the Lady Colonials (1-1-0 in their first two games) scored three goals in a 6-0 season-opening win over Wheelock on September 2.

Nick Mentessana (University of Missouri at Rolla men’s soccer) – The freshman back appeared in four games and had a pair of shots as the Miners opened the 2006 season at 2-2-0, defeating Missouri Southern (1-0) and Quincy (2-0) after dropping their first two.

Brian Miles (Montclair State men’s soccer) – The sophomore defender appeared in two games as the Red Hawks opened the 2006 season at 3-0-0 … got the start in a 1-0 win over Lebanon Valley and in a 2-1 win over Western Connecticut State University.

Marc Doherty (South Florida men’s soccer) – The freshman midfielder got the start in a 2-0 exhibition win over Saint Louis on August 19 and came off the bench in a 2-1 loss to Furman on August 27.

Amy Robinson (Vermont swimming & diving) – The sophomore freestylist will help lead the Lady Catamounts when they open the 2006-07 season on October 14 at Sienna.

Tom Ryan (Worcester Polytechnic Institute football) – The senior tight end caught one pass for 11 yards as WPI opened the 2006 season with a 40-20 win over Worcester State.

CJ Maurer (St. Bonaventure swimming and diving) – The junior diver will help lead the Bonnies when they open the 2006-07 season on October 14 at the Western New York Invitational in Buffalo, New York … the St. Bonaventure’s men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams both earned distinction as Academic All-America teams by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America.
