To the Editor:

I am bothered by the articles in the papers that discuss the inadequacies of public education in our poorest areas, but then I remember there are people who support education in our state and who are truly committed to the success of young people. One person comes to mind immediately, and this person's name is Tony Hwang.

I have watched Tony Hwang and have witnessed his commitment to young people. He not only attended Trumbull Youth Association presentations, debating events, and other events sponsored by teens, but he stays to interact with them and encourage them toward a good, strong future. He attends environmental events and brings his ebullient personality and commitment to preservation, working alongside those who share his commitment. He is a great role model for our young.

Tony is always available to listen and act on our behalf in Hartford and deserves an enormous plurality in his return to the Senate. I enthusiastically support Tony Hwang for re-election and hope you will too.
