Newtown Hikers Announce Spring Schedule

Newtown Hikers is an open group welcoming anyone interested in hiking and the outdoors. Hikes are scheduled for Saturday mornings, departing from the lower parking lot of Edmond Town Hall, 45 Main Street. Hikes begin at 9 am unless otherwise stated.

Hikers participate at their own risk and must sign a release for Newtown Parks & Recreation Department.

To meet the group at a different point, contact the leader listed for each hike. Contact the hike leader any time the weather is doubtful.

Hikes are moderate unless otherwise stated and last three to five hours plus driving time. Children are welcome but must be accompanied by adults.

Hikers should bring lunch and beverages. Sturdy shoes or boots are recommended. Dress for the weather.

For further information contact Ester Nichols at 788-1398 or pilgrim555@charter.net, or Newtown Parks & Recreation Department at 270-4340.
