Flanders Fall Festival Set For October 1

WOODBURY — On Sunday, October 1, Flanders Nature Center & Land Trust will present its 26th annual Fall Festival, one of Woodbury’s more popular celebrations and successful traditions.

The event, which hosted over 1,500 attendees last year, will take place from 10 am to 4 pm at the Van Vleck Farm Sanctuary on Flanders and Church Hill Roads.

Geared to interest everyone, young and old, the festival includes an assortment of crafts, exhibits, events, entertainment, displays, demonstrations, art, kids’ crafts, and food. More than 50 exhibitors will be displaying arts and crafts in addition to numerous demonstrations such as chair-making, maple syrup processing, jewelry-making, wool spinning, and a new presenter, bullwhip-making.

A continuous shuttle hay wagon will be available to take visitors between the three main areas of the festival, which sprawl over the scenic 200-acre Van Vleck Sanctuary.

Festival admission is $7 per adult, $3 for children ages 6-12 years old, and free for children ages 5 and under and Flanders members.

The event will be held rain or shine. For more details about the festival, call 203-263-3711, extension 10.
