DANBURY — Danbury Hospital invites young men and women interested in a health care career to take part in its Medical Exploring Post.

Exploring, now a division of Learning for Life and a subsidiary of the Boy Scouts of America, is designed for high school students to explore career opportunities in a variety of health care-related fields. Annual membership dues are $12.

The Medical Exploring Post is open to students ages 14–20. The purpose of the program is to give members an opportunity to learn about health care careers through tours, guest speakers, projects, and hands-on living activities. Explorers will participate in practical and meaningful experiences, developing mentor relationships with health care professionals while pursuing their career interests, learning and developing new skills.

Danbury Hospital’s human resources department invites interested potential applicants and their families to learn more about Exploring at a First Nighter Introductory Meeting on Wednesday, January 28, from 6:30 to 8 pm at Danbury Hospital in the 4 South A Classroom.
