WWF Presents Holiday Stress Reduction
The Working Womenâs Forum, formerly known as Business and Professional Womenâs Club of Newtown, will present âYou Can Change Your Life â 10 Powerful Ways to Reduce Stress and Letting Go of Perfection for the Holidaysâ by Lori Woodhouse. The presentation will take place on December 5.
The program will focus on learning how to bring strength, balance, and energy into day-to-day life. Through this presentation, participants will learn powerful techniques to improve their mood, energy, outlook, productivity, and health. Stress reduction techniques include goal setting, taming the inner critic, abdominal breathing, and laughter.
Lori Woodhouse is a life coach, marketing consultant, professional speaker, and owner of Mindful Living Life Coaching. She has coached and taught hundreds of men and women to create balance, fulfillment, direction and success in their lives. She coaches private clients throughout the country, and teaches locally at St Francis Hospitalâs Center for Health Enhancement in Enfield, and UConn Health Centerâs Celebrate Women Program in Farmington.
Dress for Success will be in attendance to collect clothing donations. Those who participate are asked to bring clothing that is new or nearly new and cleaned. Dress for Success is looking for coordinated, contemporary, interview-appropriate skirt and pant suits; crisp blouses; blazers and jackets; and professional shoes. Dress for Success is particularly in need of larger-size suits. Dress for Success is a nonprofit organization that provides interview suits, confidence boosts, and career development to women in need who are transitioning into the work force.
The meeting will be held on Monday, December 5, at Fireside Inn, 123 South Main Street. Networking begins at 6. Dinner will be at 6:30. Entrée choices are chicken piccata, grilled salmon, and pasta primavera. Reservations should be phone in with entrée choice by Friday, December 2, to Kelly Urso, 364-1667 or rsvp@workingwomensforum.net. The cost for dinner will be $25 for members, $35 for nonmembers.
