Ashlar Appoints Mary Frazier
As Director Of Nursing Services
Mary Frazier has been named director of nursing services for Ashlar of Newtown, a 156-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility located on Toddy Hill Road. Ashlar of Newtownâs president, Thomas Gutner, made the announcement.
Ms Frazier has many years of experience in the health care field and has held various positions in hospitals in central Connecticut and western Massachusetts. Prior to joining Ashlar of Newtown, she was the director of nursing at St Mary Home in West Hartford for four years.
In her role at Ashlar of Newtown, Ms Frazier will oversee the daily operation of the nursing services department to ensure that resident and patient care for both skilled nursing and rehabilitation is of the highest quality and in full compliance with federal, state, and JCAHO regulatory standards.
In making the announcement, Mr Gutner said, âMary has an extensive background in the health care field and brings her knowledge and clinical expertise to this very important position. Her experience dealing with staff, patients, and families make her a welcome addition to the management team at Ashlar of Newtown.â
Ms Frazier received a bachelor of science degree from Russell Sage College and is completing her master of science in nursing and organization behavior at the University of Hartford. She and her husband, John, and their children are residents of Bristol.
Nurses are invited to meet with Ms Frazier at Ashlar of Newtown at a Clinical Open House on Wednesday, November 30, from 5 am to 11 am. Breakfast omelets will be served, and there will be complimentary manicures and chair massages. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about Ashlar of Newtown and the many employment opportunities available.
