Boys U13

Avon 3, Force 2 (State Cup, OT) – Travis Leblanc and Joey van Veen scored goals, but the Force fell in overtime in the State Cup. Austin Puleri was great in goal while Trevor Carey and Mike Mossbarger hustled all over the field.

Force 8, Fairfield 2 – Travis Leblanc and Joey van Veen scored two goals each as the Force won their fourth straight district match. Goals were also added by Sean Burson, Peter Ovendorf, Cameron Clark and John Imbimbo.

Boys U12

Cobras 1, Trumbull 0 – Danny Bittman scored the lone goal on an exciting combination pass play from Connor Quinn, who had been fed by Christian Mather. Robert Willis, Patrick Thornberg and Colin Moller were brilliant in the midfield while Sean Elliot anchored the goal and Noah Sock, Eric Fiore and Stephen Conway produced a number of fine tackles.

Girls U11

Jaguars 5, Ridgefield 0 – Sally Martinelli scored two goals while Allie Brazo, Reagan Cerney and Angela Halili netted one apiece to lead the Jags. Sweeper Taylor Brady and stopper Tess Murray had spectacular games.

Boys U10

White Lightning 3, Greenwich Blue 3 – Brenton Scott (2) and Ryan King scored the goals as the Lightning drew even with Greenwich. Kaj Djonne, Graham Hubber and Constant Gregoire were excellent on offense as Sawyer Conrad, Kevin Droniak and Nathyn Horvath controlled the midfield.

Girls U10

Lightning 2, Westport 1 – Kailee Dunnigan scored two goals to lift the Lightning past Westport. Cassie Fischer and Jessica Keller were strong in midfield and Amy Martinelli helped power the Lightning offense. Dale Shearin and Siena Cicarelli played solid games in the goal against an aggressive Westport team.

Boys U14

TNT 8, Goalden Toasters 4 – Fredrik Dean and Devin DiNicola scored two goals apiece while Austin Quinn had two assists and a goal to lead the TNT. Tom Giarratano, Chris Arnone and Peter Kerns all added one goal. For the Goalden Toasters, Grant Rick put two to the net and Francis Saricini and Patrick Ricarcli each added one more. George Ferris played well in goal.

Liverpool 4, Dynamite 1 – Colin Cooper scored two goals and Brian Johnson knocked in one to lead Liverpool to the win. Fullback Brandon Luxkaranayagam and goalie Jake Tolson anchored the stingy defense. For the Dynamite , Tanner Janesky scored the goal. Andy Hsu was very active in midfield, William Carr played well on defense and Mac Morlock was strong in goal.

Eliminators 2, Meteors 1 – Dan Brown and Evan Swain scored goals and Ben Galassi provided an assist to lead the Eliminators. Tyler Coleman was strong at sweeper and Kevin Dill made numerous saves. For the Meteors, Jake Moore scored the goal as Ian Lew, Michael Teixeira and Justin Saint played well.

Girls U14

Purple Pirates 3, Piranhas 1 – Kayla O’Leary, Rebecca Silveira and Randy Jackson scored the goals that lifted the Pirates to the win. Madigan Chrystie and Danielle Genovese were strong in goal. For the Piranhas, Sydney Hansen played outstanding in goal with eight saves in the first half while Emma Iannini made six saves in the second half. Margo Trainer played strong mid field and Courtney Beckett scored for the goal.

Hurricanes 1, The Rage 1 – Christie Iorfino of the Hurricanes and Ashley Cirone of The Rage scored the lone goals in a 1-1 draw. For the ‘Canes, Kristen DeGirolamo, Rachel Karnoff and Jesica Haitz sparked the defense. For The Rage, Ria Mitra, Katie Burns and Quincy DeYoung played well.

Sharpshooters 5, Dominators 1 – Jenna Bonaccorso and Jamie Keating had two goals and two assists each to lead the Sharpshooters to the win. Alexandra Grant added a goal as well as outstanding goaltending. For the Dominators, Rachel Gregoire scored the lone goal as Jenny van Veen played well.

Boys U10

Huskies 5, Red Bulls 2 – Colin Reilly and Travis Hanna scored two goals each to lead the Huskies. Charlie Poarch added a goal and Michael Alicea played well in net. For the Red Bulls, Jordan Abraham and Ryan Durr scored and Jordan Marrusich played well in the midfield.

Hurricanes 5, Camel Shards 1 – Matt Mossbarger and Otto Kerler scored two goals apiece and Michael Cook added a solo to lead the Hurricanes to the win. Patrick Afriyie anchored the D. Nick Cirone scored the only goal for the Camel Shards. Curtis Giles did an amazing job on defense and Daniel Colucci played well at midfield.

Wolverines 3, Dynamite 3 – Harry Solaski scored two goals and Michael Biancardi added to lead the Wolverines. Tim Vogelman playing tough in the midfield as Zack Waller and Matt Wood playing well in goal. Mitchel Stewart, Alec Beauchemin and Connor Miller scored for the Dynamite with Wesley Morlock playing strong defense.

Girls U10

Twisters 5, Nighthawks 1 – Mikayla Kuligowski, Hope McMorran, Katie Mossbarger, Tess Stofko and Emily Turco all scored goals for the Twisters in a win over the Nighthawks. For the ‘Hawks, Alyssa Ruefenacht scored as Mandy Mele and Bonnie Buchetto anchored the D. Rachel Crosby played a solid game on offense.

Comets 4, Rockets 1 – Kat Jennings, Tonya Tucker, Tricia Sullivan and Hayley Dunn all scored to lift the Comets to the win. For the Rockets, Lindsay Fuori scored the lone goal as Nicole Mendonca and Makenzie Casey played hard on both sides of the ball. Hannah Schneidermann was tough in goal in the second half.

Strikers 3, Tie Dye Tigers 1 – Kelsey Muniz scored two and Brenna Kelly added a third to lead the Strikers. Aine Murphy and Emma Burns had great games. For the Tigers, Alexi Rodriguez scored the lone goal as Ashley Marks sparked the defense. Ashley Maturo played well as a half back and Kerry Scanlon played a great all-around game.

Boys U8

Silver Scorpions 3, Blasters 1 – Jake Oliger had three goals to spark the Scorpions. Braden Marcinek, Ellis Hubbard and Michael O’Keefe had strong games, as well. Jack Riley had the only goal for Blasters as Nathan Augenbraun played well on both offense and defense. Trevor Gaines and Ryan Harvey played well on defense.

Scorpions 3, Tigers 2 – Jake Oliver scored a pair of goals and Quinn Helmig added a solo to lift the Scorpions to the win. Ellis Hubbard notched an assist and Michael O’Keefe made several defensive stops for the victors. Grant Obre-Untiedt and Austin Engler scored goals for the Tigers while Harry Eppers shined on defense and Christopher Blanco played well in goal.

Team (#7) 3, Torpedoes 2 – Richard Ciamarra scored a pair of goals and Jamie Cochrane added one to lift Team #7 to the win. Evan Eggleston and Bryce Mather played exceptional overall games. For the Torpedoes, James Carney scored twice as Chris Healy provided an assist. Cal Creeden and Tommy Kitzmiller played great overall games.

Superchargers 4, Yankees 3 – Collin Patrick scored twice while Andri Henn and Andre Masser netted one apiece to lead the ‘Chargers to the win. Nate Sanchez, Ian Klepacki and Thomas Leuci had nice games. Graham Dowd, Declan Sullivan and Sam Cox each scored for the Yankees with Kevin Finnegan having a great all-around game.

Rockets 4, Patriots 2 – Thomas Gavel scored three times and Alex Hess once to lead the Rockets to victory. Ryan Kiss and James Chiravelli played an all-around solid game while Zachary Laros had an outstanding game in goal. For the Patriots, both Connery Mayer scored both goals as Andrew Lee and Owen Walsh shined on offense. Zachary Boland and Eddie Gardner played a strong offensive game.

Girls U8

Killers 3, Huskies 0 – Stefanie Carr, Katie Elkins, and Anna Biondi each scored a goal to lift the Killers to the win. Caroline Keane and Amanda Donovan played well. For the Huskies, Sydney Flint and Elizabeth Chamiec-Case played outstanding defense and Erin Burbank was strong on offense.

Funky Monkeys 6, Pink Panthers 1 – Quinn Karp and Makenna Cerney scored two goals apiece while Jessica Maturo and Lucy Helgren each scored once to lead the Monkeys. Kendra Dunnigan played an outstanding games. For the Panthers, Grace Sandercox scored the lone goal as Lauren Russo, Camryn Cicarelli, Jada Farrington and Katie Reilly played relentlessly the whole game.

Happy Hippos 2, Blue Dragons 1 – Julia Doyle scored both goals to lift the Hippos to the win. Katerina and Marie Ringes played strong games on offense and Callie Kraushaar was a force on defense. For the Dragons, Madeleine Strokis scored as Samantha Crespo and Emily McCoy played well in goal and Brianna MacDonald played well on defense.

Rockets 3, Power 2 – Caitlyn Linden, Hannah Hripak and Britney Antous all scored to lift the Rockets. Sarah Lyon and Julia Shugrue sparked on D. For the Power, Caroline Caporale scored two goals as Annie Hoffman and Olivia Butler played well all around.

Smelly Skunks 3, Mustangs 1 – Casey Harkins scored a goal with an assist from Joanelle Tran to lead the ‘Stangs.. Maddie Bridges controlled the offense while Clare Boyle was strong on defense.

Boys U6

Blue Lightning 2, Firekickers 1 – Dylan Sock and Tyler Trede scored the goals that lift the Lightning. Jack Buchler and AJ Salaris contributed with strong defense. For the ‘Kickers, Hunter Procaccini scored as Colin Dunn played well on offense. Rory Edwards and Aidan Ford had nice performances.
