EWN Helps Womenâs Crisis Center
WESTPORT â The Entrepreneurial Womanâs Network will hold its annual holiday party on Monday, December 6, and will present a collection of gifts to benefit the Domestic Violence Crisis Center in Norwalk.
The event will be held from 6 to 9 pm at The Riverview, 301 Merritt 7 in Norwalk. It is open to the public.
Entertainment will be provided by radio and stage actress Muriel Nussbaum, who will present a brief speaking program on the life of famed journalist Nellie Bly. Ms Nussbaum has been a performer on radio in Wisconsin and New York and a director of off-Broadway plays, operettas and traveling concert ensembles. She has served as director and actress for the Maxwell Anderson Playwrights Series in Stamford and is a member of the Theatre Artists Workshop of Westport.
Cocktail hour will run from 6 to 7 with hot and cold hors dâoeuvres and a cash bar followed by a sit-down dinner. Cost is $39.95 per person. The deadline for reservations is November 29. Make checks payable to EWN and send to PO Box 683 Westport CT 06881-0683. Note choice of entrée: chicken François, baked salmon fillet, Yankee pot roast with potato pancakes or vegetarian lasagna.
