A Tribute To Joan Cogswell
A Tribute To Joan Cogswell
There are no words to describe the pain we feel over the sudden, untimely death of Joan.
She is the best ever and will never be forgotten.
Joan is a bright beamâ¦also a lighthouse showing the way to shore, away from the sandbar, rocks, etc, that were in its path. Joan showed the way out of the rough waters of life to the shores of peace.
Joan, truly this beacon of lightâ¦beaming when in Disney Worldâ¦listening to the Beatlesâ¦thinking about Betty Boopâ¦collecting items about these loves.
With my daughter Julie, Joan has a daughter whom she loved dearly. Julie, in return, considered Joan a mother and loves her more than life. She has spent many happy wonderful years together, Julie being born in December 1963. Joan being born in December 1952.
Never afar from mind and soul, Joan and Julie were more than aunt and niece, but best friends. Like mother and daughter, they bonded.
Yes, a few days before Joanâs death, my wonderful mother, Dorothy Reynolds Cogswell, died at age 85. Mom couldnât be able to handle the loss of a daughter. Joan couldnât handle the loss of her mother. Both were waked, funeraled and buried together. Joan is now with Mom, side-by-side, looking down at us from heaven.
Joanâs destination is known. Itâs in heaven with Momâ¦our angel unknown.
Much love,
Catherine Cogswell Coer
