I’ve read with great interest news coverage of campaigns for state legislature in The Bee the past couple months. One thing has come through loud and clear: Will Rodgers has the experience, energy, and ideas to best serve Newtown in Hartford.

As a Marine colonel serving in Iraq, Will demonstrated the ability to lead and take tremendous responsibility. As chairman of our Legislative Council, he has taken a primary role in moving the town forward throughout the past decade.

In his campaign for the state House, Will has introduced proposals to bring new jobs to Connecticut and needed education funding for Newtown. He will be an outstanding state legislator for us.
