Signorelli Appointed To State Board
Carolyn Signorelli of Sandy Hook has been appointed to the Childrenâs Fund Council by State House Minority Leader Robert M. Ward, according to State Rep. Julia B. Wasserman.
Ms Signorelli is an assistant attorney general who has worked for the past nine years prosecuting neglect and abuse cases on behalf of the state.
âMs Signorelli is an excellent choice for this panel,â Rep Wasserman said. âHer years of experience as an assistant attorney general who has prosecuted child abuse and neglect cases will enable her to make an important contribution to the responsibilities of the Childrenâs Trust Fund.â
The Childrenâs Trust Fund Council applies for federal grants that sustain the trust fund, which uses the money to pay for programs aimed at preventing child abuse and neglect. It also can receive private gifts seeking funding.
Youth service bureaus may receive funding from the Childrenâs Trust Fund, Rep Wasserman said.
