Decking The Meeting House

To the Editor:

The Board of Trustees of the Heritage Preservation Trust, which administers and maintains the Meeting House, is most grateful to members of Newtown Hook and Ladder Company #1 for hanging the large holiday wreath above our front door.

We also wish to thank Robert McCulloch, owner of Newtown Tree Service, for placing Christmas lights on the 30-foot spruce tree at the rear of the Meeting House.

Both these volunteer efforts greatly add to the beauty of our New England village at the holiday season.

The tree is lighted in memory of James M. Osborne, Jr, a former trustee. During his many years of service, Jim was instrumental in developing the Meeting House for civic and cultural use by the people of Newtown.

Sincerely,

Donald T. Studley, President

Heritage Preservation Trust
