John Sutyak

John Sutyak, 91, died Friday, December 31, in Ashlar of Newtown, where he had resided for the past four years. He was the husband of Elsie (Collins) Sutyak, formerly of Mobar Road, Brookfield.

He was born in Walsenberg, Colo., June 3, 1908, son of the late Michael and Helen (Banas) Sutyak. Prior to moving to Brookfield he had resided in Fairfield for many years. He was a retired tool and die maker for General Electric Co in Bridgeport.

He is survived, besides his wife, by a son, Richard Collins of Florida; two daughters, Barbara Trup of Easton and Beverly Bybairk of Delaware; two sisters, Helen Chandler and Dorothy Pinkovsky. Also survived by three grandchildren and six nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at St John’s Cemetery, Stratford, at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown.
