Charles P. Koehler
Charles P. Koehler, 83, husband of the late Dorothy (Elliott) Koehler of Heritage Village, Southbury, died October 27 at his home.
Mr Koehler was born in Ridgewood, N.Y., September 21, 1920, a son of the late Charles and Anna (Steinberg) Koehler.
Before his retirement, he was director of Low Vision for Lighthouse Industries in New York City. For more than 50 years, he was a ham radio operator.
Mr Koehler was a longtime resident of Ridgewood before moving to Heritage Village in 1998.
He is survived by two daughters, Patricia Ueckerman of Newtown, and Laurie Crawford of Stockton, Calif.; a sister, Marie Optiz of Astoria, N.Y.; one granddaughter, Samantha Ueckerman; two grandsons, Christopher Crawford and Correy Crawford.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 1, at 11 am in the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown.
