Art Show & Sale Opens Holiday Season

The Society of Creative Arts of Newtown is planning its 31st Annual Holiday Art Show and Sale of members’ works of art. The annual event showcases the artwork of 50 or more SCAN artists in oil, watercolor, pastel and graphics.

The artists’ work will be displayed in the lower level of Newtown Meeting House, 31 Main Street/Route 25 in Newtown (at the flag pole). The event will run Friday, Saturday and Sunday, November 9 to 11. Hours will be 10 am to 5 pm each day. Framed work as well as unframed portfolio work will be available.

An opening reception will be held on Friday, November 9, from 6 to 8 pm. The public is cordially invited to attend. Refreshments will be served and admission is free.
