Housatonic Habitat Volunteer Briefing

Nonprofit home-builder Housatonic Habitat for Humanity is holding volunteer briefings for people interested in becoming involved in Habitat’s neighborhood-rebuilding mission. The meetings are informal and – just like Habitat homes – are open to people of any faith and any skill level.

The next volunteer briefing will be held Wednesday, November 7, at 7 pm at HHfH’s Danbury office, in Peacock Alley (below the North Street Shopping Center), 1 Padanaram Road. For more information, call the Habitat office at 744-1340.

Habitat International has built more than 120,000 homes over the past 25 years housing more than 500,000 people. Housatonic Habitat, which has completed four homes in the past four years, hopes to complete five more homes – four of them on Danbury’s Rowen Street – this year alone. Two of the houses were in Newtown on Philo Curtis Road.
