Susan Heck To Lead Conference

 At Newtown Bible Church

The Women’s Ministries at Newtown Bible Church, 35 Sugar Street, will present “With The Master  … In View of His Return,” with speaker Susan Heck, on Friday and Saturday, April 27 and 28

The conference will be presented from 7 to 9 pm on Friday, and then from 9 am until 3 pm on Saturday. Admission is $20, with a light supper included on Friday and refreshments on Saturday. Optional box lunch for Saturday is $10.

Friday evening will be an informal gathering with Ms Heck, who will speak about the seven most common sins women commit and the seven biblical motivations and practical tips for putting off sin.

Saturday will be an in-depth exploration of 1 Thessalonians, as Ms Heck will discuss how “believers are to live in the knowledge of the return of Jesus Christ.” She will expound on the following topics: “The Amazing Gospel” (1:2–4), “The Day of the Lord is Coming” (5:1–5), “How Shall We Then Live” (5:6–11), and “Responsibilities of the Sheep to the Sheep” (5:14–15).

Susan Heck has been involved in women’s ministries for 25 years. Because of the enthusiastic response to bible studies she teachers, Ms Heck — who has been married for 36 years and has two grown children, both of whom, and their spouses, are in full-time ministry — has been invited to speak to ladies groups across the country and around the world. Ms Heck is a certified counselor with the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors, and the author of With The Master, a bible study series for women.
